Another baby in the house

Apparently I haven't been the only baby in our house in the last few months! Not only were there squirrels playing in the eaves, but a mommy squirrel delivered her babies inside our roof/eaves. It appears the mommy squirrel left through a one-way door installed by the pest company, but her family stayed behind. Mommy and Daddy have already captured two babies in our basement in less than a day. Mommy feels bad releasing them in the wild since they've been so warm and comfy for the last month or two.

  1. Latest capture & release total is 5...and counting. This family of squirrel babies is as big as the Macsherry clan! After releasing two in 1 hour on Saturday night, Daddy released another one this morning. What would we do without Pop Pop's trap?

  2. Captured Lucky "13" last night. Our resident 'Squirrel Hunter' placed the trap outside so the exterminator could help us determine what species of squirrels we have in our home. Stay tuned, friends!

  3. Breaking News...We are not catching baby squirrels born in our house to a very fertile mother and her very fertile sister. We are catching almost full sized flying squirrels, and it's possible some come back in through small holes - to only be caught again...so the release has to be much farther away. Wow! This would make for some good reality TV, people.
